Part-time: 25-30 hours a week, with availability occasionally on some evenings and weekends
Compensation – $15-$17/hour based on skills and experience
General Job Statement:
Program Assistant will work in Casa Guadalupe’s office and, at times, off site at different programs. Will assist in the office and will work with clients, volunteers and literacy program collaborators to help fulfill program outcomes. Will help fulfill Casa Guadalupe’s mission to be the bridge of integration to Hispanics and the communities in which they live through education and community access.
Bilingual (English and Spanish)
Proficient with Microsoft Office
Ability to work independently and as a team player
Strong verbal and written communication and time management skills
Detail oriented and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and reach deadlines
Verifiable good driving record, reliable transportation and proof of insurance
Experience working with people from various cultural backgrounds
2+ years experience working in education environment
Associate’s Degree or similar qualifications
Work with the Executive Director and Literacy Coordinator in supporting and executing Casa Guadalupe’s programs
Help expand community based partnerships and work collaboratively with school district staff, teachers, committee members, local colleges, business leaders, and professionals.
Assist in recruiting volunteers for Casa Guadalupe
Follow up, Scheduling and Management of volunteers
Help coordinate multiple aspects of certain literacy programs (Read to Succeed, Dream to Succeed): logistics, activities, planning
Assisting in events management: seminars, fairs, presentations, scholarship dinner
Update and maintain databases such as volunteer lists, client lists, and client information
Be proactive in seeking more Hispanic clients in the community
