Dream to Succeed Scholarship

2023-2024 Dream to Succeed Scholarship Applications will be available
October 2023.

We are so excited to approach our 3rd annual scholarship opportunity for the 2023-2024 school year, for the participating dream to succeed high school and undergraduated college students. Our scholarship vary between $500, $1000 and $1500.

is attending the University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee at Washington County. Due to the pandemic Santiago has not been able to participate in any extracurricular activities during his freshman year in college. However, he has accomplished the milestone of getting a job this year, which for his own personal growth he has learned to better manage his time and give equal determination between school and work. His dream continues to be able to attend the University of Wisconsin – Madison. He would like to transfer withing the next year. Santiago’s plan is to major in Biomedical Engineering due to his interest in the field of prosthetics and his interest in science.

currently attending UW Milwaukee at Washington County. He worked for the Boys and Girls club for over 5 years where he was honored to be considered for Youth of the Year. He enjoys playing sports, especially baseball. He strives to help out in the community as much as possible and always try to stay involved with happenings. Juan is considering a major in the JAMS program, focusing on journalism. He wishes to find apprenticeships/internships in the field of journalism while in school and then he hopes to secure a job in that field, possibly writing for the Milwaukee Brewers. 

Camila Ewing is attending Kansas State University. She is pursuing a major in architecture and graduate with her master’s degree. She would like to become a licensed architect. Camila participated in Women in Design as a first-year representative. She also plays tennis in her free time. 

Mariana Hernandez – attends UW Milwaukee at Washington County. She has been loving her work-study job at Casa Guadalupe that allows her to work with the Read to Succeed program. She enjoys public speaking and playing the flute. She is thriving in college and just received outstanding freshman. She was asked to be a TRIO ambassador for UW-Washington County. Mariana is planning on obtaining her associates degree before transferring to UW-Madison for a bachelor of arts.

Jessica Torres Martinez is currently attends UW Milwaukee at Waukesha County. She enjoys spending time with her family. She is pursuing a major in Education. Her goal is to have a better life, job and to help her parents. 

Nancy Torres Martinez is attending UW Milwaukee at Waukesha County. Her hobbies include spending time with her family and baking desserts. She intends on majoring in the Health Science field. Her goals are to inspire others Hispanic young adults to go to college. She also wants to help her parents. 

Madeleine Herro – Currently attending Wisconsin Lutheran College. In high school she participated in Model UN, SMART Team, and National Honor Society. In college she is part of the WLC’s Women’s Soccer team. She plans on double majoring in Accounting and Finance with a minor in Spanish. 

Ariel N. Rodriguez – he is attending the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee. During his free time he is usually out and about with his friends either hiking, or you can find him at the gym. Most of the other times he is with his family or working. Ariel’s goal is to obtain a bachelor’s degree in Biology which his goal has been easier to reach due to the help of this scholarship. He will now be able to put more attention towards his education which will hopefully lead to him obtaining a better job in a scientific field. 

Felix Chavez Almeda – currently attends UW-Milwaukee. He is interested in Kanye West, MTV and blueberry muffins. In the future his plans are to get a degree in industrial engineering and obtain a job in quality. 

 

Noreri Cisneros – will be attending UW-Madison. She is currently active in FBLA, East NHS, Winter Guard, Tennis, Orchestra, and Mock Trial as the Co-President. She is an Athletic Scholar Award and March Lioness Student of the Month. Her plan is to pursue a major in Political Science at UW-Madison, then get her MBA/JD at Madison. Her dream is to open her own law firm and practice immigration law.

Laysha Diaz – Will be attending Moraine Park Technical College. Currently, she is working at Dunkin Donuts/Baskin Robbins. She also is actively participating and competing in Taekwondo. She would like to pursue a major in the nursing field. 

Naftaly Reyes Soto – Will be attending Moraine Park Technical College. She loves to help others. She puts others before herself, but most importantly her family always comes first. Naftaly plans on pursuing an associate degree in nursing to hopefully help others when they are not able to care for themselves. 

 

 

Jonathan Puebla – will be attending the University of Milwaukee at Washington County. In high school he played varsity basketball and what he enjoys the most is playing basketball, working out, and spending time with family and friends. His goal is to major in architecture and become an architect. He would like to design his own home and help design others. 

Mara Klessig – plans to attend UW Milwaukee at Washington County. She has been involved in West Bend Girls Swim and Dive from 9-12th grade, Dolphin’s Synchronize Swim Club 9-12th grade, Interact Club with volunteering 9-12th grade, and Student Council 10-12th grade. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, going on hikes with her dogs, and traveling. She is a hard working and strongheaded individual. Her plan is to attend UWM at Washington County as an undecided major and by the end of the freshman year, she hopes to figure out her major. From there she will transfer to UW-Whitewater or UW-La Crosse. 

 

 

Alejandro Wundrock – plans to attend Concordia University of Wisconsin. Alejandro has worked a job for most of his high school career. He has participated in soccer and lacrosse, and he will be playing lacrosse in college. He was in Interact, Skills USA, FBLA, and SEED. He plans on majoring in Marketing and Entrepreneurship. Alejandro’s goal is to intern at Vaxnermedia and then to one day start his own media marketing firm.
