READ TO SUCCEED
Read to succeed is an after school Childhood Literacy program that helps children with their English, reading comprehension skills, and homework. While fostering an enjoyment for reading.
Volunteers in the community meet with groups of Hispanic elementary school children, the majority of whose parents speak Spanish as their first language, and assist the children with their homework, with an emphasis on reading and English literacy. This program follows the school calendar and goes from September through May
Currently we offer the program on Tuesdays and Thursdays at St. Mary’s gymnasium in West Bend and Mondays and Wednesdays at Lincoln Elementary School’s library in Hartford.
