Full-time Bilingual Youth Program Coordinator

Full-time: 40 hours a week, with availability occasionally on some evenings and very limited weekends

Compensation – $18-20/hour based on skills and experience

General Job Statement:
Bilingual Youth Program Coordinator will work in Casa Guadalupe’s office and off site to primarily oversee the “Read to Succeed” and “Dream to Succeed” programs in Washington County, including schools in West Bend, Kewaskum, and Hartford. Will assist in the office and will work with clients, volunteers, and youth program collaborators to help fulfill program outcomes. Will help fulfill Casa Guadalupe’s mission to be the bridge of integration to Hispanics and the communities in which they live through education and community access.

Requirements:

  • Bilingual (English and Spanish)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player
  • Strong verbal and written communication and time management skills
  • Detail oriented and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and reach deadlines
  • Verifiable good driving record, reliable transportation and proof of insurance
  • Must be able to travel throughout Washington County

 

Desired Skills:

  • Bilingual (English-Spanish)
  • Experience working with people from various cultural backgrounds
  • 2+ years experience working in education environment
  • Associates Degree

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reports to Executive Director and supervises Youth Program Assistant to support and execute Casa Guadalupe’s youth programs: specifically Read to Succeed, Dream to Succeed, Summer Spanish Camps, and Summer Reading Program.
  • Work closely with Hispanic/Latino youth (K-12) and their families.
  • Help expand community-based partnerships and work collaboratively with school district staff, teachers, committee members, local colleges, business leaders, and professionals.

Other duties:

  • Coordinate multiple aspects of Read to Succeed, Dream to Succeed, Summer Spanish Camps, and Summer Reading Program: logistics, activities, planning
  • Assist in recruiting volunteers for Casa Guadalupe’s youth programs
  • Follow up, Scheduling, and Management of volunteers
  • Work with appropriate liaison staff in partner school districts to plan and prepare for Read to Succeed and Dream to Succeed
  • Assist in recruiting and scheduling guest speakers for the Dream to Succeed program
  • Assist in coordination of field trips, tours, networking event, and “Apoyando a Sus Hijos” sessions for the Dream to Succeed program
  • Assist in events management: seminars, fairs, presentations, fundraisers, scholarship dinner
  • Ensure program databases are updated
  • Assist in marketing youth programs through Casa’s social media and website
  • Be proactive in seeking more Hispanic/Latino clients in the community
  • Casa Guadalupe Education Center is a non-profit organization, and we do our very best to accommodate our clients’ needs, including their schedules. All positions and employment with Casa Guadalupe will require paid attendance at occasional evening and weekend events and/or programming.

Part-time Bilingual Youth Program Assistant

Part-time: 25-30 hours a week, with availability occasionally on some evenings and limited weekends. Potential to be full-time in the future.

Compensation – $16-18/hour based on skills and experience
